Reading Tutoring

The Scholars’ Grove connects you with reading tutors who are trained in Barton Reading & Spelling and Learn Reading. These programs were designed to teach reading, comprehension, spelling, and vocabulary to all levels—from emerging or struggling readers to severely dyslexic readers. Both the Barton Reading & Spelling and Learn Reading programs use a multisensory, Orton-Gillingham-based approach.

Need homework help? Scholars’ Grove reading tutors are well-equipped to assist students in completing assignments.

Looking to raise your child’s reading skills up to grade level (and beyond)? Our tutors have the training and resources to provide engaging, multisensory lessons using research-backed methods.

Scholars’ Grove tutors:

• Completed at least 2 years of college education (most have bachelor’s degrees and/or teaching credentials)

• Have previous experience teaching or tutoring children

• Cleared a third-party background check

• Completed curricula training with our Education Specialist (who has over 25 years experience in education)

• Demonstrate enthusiasm and expertise in their subject specialities
